Became interested in aerials while watching the Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games on television with her family. Her mom thought that since sheI did gymnastics and she loved to ski that she would be good at aerials! By 14, she'd moved out of her parents' Ashburn, VA., home to train full-time in Lake Placid, NY, and by 16, she was the youngest member of the 2010 U.S. Olympic team. "I like to go big and I’m not afraid to crash hard. And when you’re doing triple flips overcoming the fear and getting up from big crashes is super important... I’m known for always trying to jump like the boys. I want to go big like them, do harder tricks like them, and even crash harder than them!" (idoneusa.com)
