Formerly trained in both trampoline and alpine skiing, but discovered aerial skiing at the Centre Acrobatique Yves Laroche in Lac-Beauport, QC.
First put a pair of skis on at age 14 as he had been training at the circus school in Quebec to develop his air sense. On his first day, he saw three-time Olympian and world champion Steve Omischl (CAN) do six twists and immediately knew he wanted to try that. (olympic.ca; freestylecanada.ski)
Was born on the day of the first snowstorm of the year and the first thing his grandmother said when she saw him was "ca va etre un petit skieur ca!!" ("He's going to be a little skier"). He was immediately hooked on the feeling of flying off a jump and doing tricks "normal" people think are impossible." (stokodesign.com)
Wants to leave a legacy and strives to perform and get medals, and still needs that World Cup gold, a podium at World Championships, 'some Olympic hardware' and a Crystal Globe. He ultimately wants to be able to look back at his career and say that he left his mark. (stokodesign.com)
Freestyle skier Olivier Rochon (CAN), 2018 Olympian (fifth in aerials).

Always has some sweet candy on him. "98% of the time you can find a half roll of SweetTarts in my jumping suit pocket, if not, I've got another similar candy sitting there. But I always have candy when I jump on snow. Always." (stokodesign.com)
