Was born in Sollentuna and began his skiing career in Vasjobacken in Sollentuna, when was about two years old. At the age of five, started Alpine skiing, but his biggest interest as a child was ice hockey. When he was nine, the family moved to Are, and then skiing became a priority. (harlautapparel.co)
Saw a freestyle competition as a child and decided that he wanted to dedicate the rest of his life to the sport. "I don't know anything as fun as skiing. Every day is a beautiful thing." (hharlaut.com, 26 Apr 2017)
"I loved the freedom of freeskiing. You don’t have to join a club or have special training times. It’s just a matter of having as much fun as possible with your friends of all ages, and practising and skiing as much as you can." (scandinaviantraveler.com)
“I just want to keep going. When I love something so much, when I know that what I’m best at in my life is skiing, I just want to take advantage of every opportunity to see how far I can push it.” (powder.com)
“To represent Sweden in the Olympic Winter Games has always been a dream of mine. Skiing has always been individual. Now that they want countries to win, I know there’s a lot of people in Sweden that want me to do well.” (powder.com)

Freeskier Tanner Hall (USA), seven-time X Games champion. “He (Tanner) was the biggest star when I was growing up and he skied in my favourite style. But I had many idols and sources of inspiration from other sports, such as skateboarding, snowboarding, ice hockey, and basketball, that have all had a big influence on me. Plus, I get a lot of my inspiration from music that puts me in the mindset I want to be in when I ski. I always ski with music in my ears.” (scandinaviantraveler.com)
"Competition pushes me to to try new crazy tricks that haven’t been done yet and to do it with maximum amount of style." (harlautapparel.co)
