Was born in Maidstone, Kent, England, in the southeast of the country. Began skiing at age two on a family holiday. He first tried moguls at age 10 in France when he moved with his mother and younger sister, to join his father Andrew, a ski instructor in the Alps. (bbc.com, 28 Jan 2014)
