Her parents had a business at the ski resort, which allowed her to ski everyday when she was not in school. Switched to ski cross from alpine at age 16 skiing due to multiple injuries while racing. ''I started skiing when I started walking. At first I was an alpine skier but I had tried a few ski cross races and I loved it. When I was 17, after several years in FIS, I decided to try a real ski cross race and I decided to train for it. I quickly had good results.'' (alizeebaron.blogspot.fr, Athlete, April 2021)

General Interest

COMEBACK SEASON
After being off skis the previous season with a back injury, she came back in the 2020/21 World Cup season. After a shaky start in Arosa and Val Thorens, she was able to make it onto the podium in February 2021 in Idre Fjall, something that she hadn't been able to do since February 2019 in Feldberg. This win in 2021 was her second career victory on the World Cup tour (first was in 2015 in Are).

FAMILY
Her parents are photographers and live in a ski resort in the south of French Alpes (her home resort is Champsaur). As a young girl she wanted to follow her brother Leo in everything he did, including enduro biking.

PERSONALITY
'I'm a simple kid, who loves her life and job. I just like skiing and enjoy every moment... but yes, I'm also a perfectionist and very competitive woman for sure.' (Athlete, April 2021)

Her coach Thomas Frey described her as a very shy person, but a total beast when she is at the gate and on the course. (FIS Freestyle YouTube December 2020)
