Grew up in a sporty family in Dombas, Norway, where she was an active child. She tried different sports such as football, cross country skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding and biathlon. Started with freesking when she was about 10 years old. (johannekilli.no)

:

In the beginning, she was playing around with some racing skis, but they got quickly exchanged when she saw the boy’s twin-tip skis. For one year she combined biathlon and freeskiing. After some time she started to reduce the days of biathlon and increase the days of freeskiing: "I have never regretted on my choice." (johannekilli.no)

General Interest

INJURY 'SCANDAL' IN KREISCHBERG
In Austria, Kreischberg, she almost crashed into an official who was standing in the landing area. She had to skid and brake much faster than normal to avoid a collision but in doing so, she twisted her left knee causing an anterior cruciate ligament rupture, requiring surgery. Her season was over. (nrk.no)

FILMING

OLYMPIC GOALS IN WRITING
Before going to PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games she put in writing what she wanted to achieve. "The Olympics have been a goal since 2015. I remember having a sheet hanging in the room with many goals, and the main goal was to get to the Olympics. When I sat down and wrote down the goals, I thought the goal of the Olympics was completely unattainable and was almost a little embarrassed to hang it up. It is strange to think back on that note, that I have actually reached that goal." (friflyt.no)
