Grandfather Heinz Eichinger (Alpine skiing): Won the title of Bavarian Forest Champion. Runs a sports shop, an inn, and a small ski in Reichenberg.
Father Heinz Eichinger (Alpine skiing, Freestyle skiing): Started in alpine skiing, later switching to freeskiing.
2017 World Cup in Monchengladbach
2020: Ankle fracture while training, and had to undergo an operation.Returned to competition in October 2020
2020: Ligament tear in the shoulder from the previous European Cup season. Underwent surgery.
2018: Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear. Missed the 2017/18 season. Started European Cup in winter 2019/20 reaching the podium three times in slopestyle, and twice in halfpipe.
2017
Grew up in a family of skiers on the edge of the Bavarian Forest National Park. First started skiing parks in the Alps with her grandfather. Competed in some alpine ski races, but then her father, a passionate freeskier, started taking her to snow parks with him. "My grandpa, my dad - they're all about skiing. Freeskiing is more fun and varied, than alpine. The mixture of courage and body control, passion and talent, childlike naivety, and adult willingness to take risks was also the reason why she said goodbye to "normal" racers at a young age and devoted herself to freestyle. Tommy Dotsch, from Zwiesel, a teacher at the Berchtesgaden ski school, played a key role in her development: "Aliah is a very ambitious young athlete with a lot of potential. She skis with a lot of passion, enjoys working on her skills, and wants to get better and better. Success in competitive sports depends on many factors and is not always the easiest path, but you can tell that she wants to go this way, and gives everything for it".
