Started skiing at age three at the Goldeck in Carinthia, then he moved to Lower Austria where he started ski racing at 8 years of age. Raced in Alpine skiing until he was 23 then switched to ski cross. (Athlete, Jan 2022)
"If I can remember, I jumped over every jump or roller when I was young. It's like being young again and living my childhood dream. It‘s a varied sport and every track is different. You need to manage the turns, the rollers, the start section and all the different elements to be the fastest, which makes ski cross an exciting and amazing sport." (Athlete, Jan 2022)
