BARQUERO/ZANDRON
They teamed up in August 2020. "At first we were skating together, but just to give us some training because we had split up with our previous partners. We were just trying to keep training, but when we were working together, we felt really comfortable and that’s why we started to think maybe we can be a real team." OFF-ICE RELATIONSHIP
They are a couple off the ice as well. “We are partners in crime, like Bonnie and Clyde. We really like to share this experience with each other. At the beginning, maybe we had to find the right balance, but actually our relationship really helps us because every time something doesn't work we know how to react and to make sure everything goes the right way as we know each other very well." MAKING HISTORY
Barquero/Zandron are the first pair skaters to represent Spain in this discipline at the Olympic Winter Games. They qualified a spot by coming second at the qualifying competition Nebelhorn Trophy 2021.
