General Interest

ZHUK / BIDAR
They teamed up in May 2019, but were unable to compete in the 2019/20 season as Zhuk needed to be released from Russia. They finally started competing in fall 2020, but had limited opportunities due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2021 was only their fourth competition as a team, but they placed 15th and qualified a spot for the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.

COVID-19 CHALLENGES
When the pandemic hit, she was stuck in Russia, and he was stuck in Czech Republic for five months and they were unable to train together. They were training separately and via internet until she finally was able to travel to Czech Republic in July 2020. (Athletes, Sep 2020)

FORMER PARTNERS
Bidar competed with Anna Duskova (2014-18) and is the ISU World junior pairs champion (2016) with her, and the first to win this title for Czech Republic.
Zhuk skated with Egor Britkov until end of 2017, representing Russia.

COACHING BROTHER
Bidar's older brother Petr, a former competitive pair skater (ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2011 - 15th) is part of their coaching team and works with them when they are in Czech Republic.
