Two-time medallist at the Four Continents Championships (2019 silver, 2020 bronze).
OLYMPIC DISAPPOINTMENT
In their Olympic debut as a team at the Pyeongchang 2018 Olympic Winter Games, they failed to qualify for the free skating by placing 17th in the short program after a fall on the triple toe loop. "After the Olympic short program (in 2018) we were very disappointed because, in the history of Chinese figure skating, there never was a pair that was stopped in the short programme. So we were both very down." (Jin, ISU Skating YouTube, 11 Dec 2018)
SUCCESS WITH PREVIOUS PARTNERS
Both competed successfully with their previous partners. Jin is the 2014 and 2015 World Junior champion with Yu Xiaoyu, and Peng won silver at the 2015 Four Continents Championships with Zhang Hao.
COACH
Coach Zhao Hongbo and his partner Shen Xue won the first Olympic gold medal for Chinese figure skating at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
