General Interest

TEAMING UP
Teamed up in 2016. They had met in 2015 in Milan, Italy where they were both training at the time. After they split up with their previous partners, coach Barbara Fusar Poli suggested a try-out. (isu.org, 19 Dec 2018)

FINDING LOVE
They fell in love with each other soon after teaming up and got married in January 2017. They found the right balance between their life on and off the ice. "In the beginning, we tried to keep it separate between our private life and our work life. It is challenging to work and live together. It took some time to balance that, but now we really integrate everything (...). We let it feed our relationship both on and off the ice and I feel it has been more healthy for us.” (Koleto, isu.org, 19 Dec 2018)

COVID-19
They trained mostly in Japan and via online lessons with their Canadian coaches from spring 2020 until fall 2021 as they were not able to return to Canada.

FORMER COACH
They were coached from 2016-18 by Barbara Fusar-Poli (ITA), the 2001 World ice dance champion and Salt Lake 2002 Olympic bronze medalist.
