OLYMPIC GAMES
Finished fifth at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.
PARTNERSHIP ON THE ICE
They teamed up in 2010 and have competed in nine World Championships (2011-21) and ten European Championships (2012-22). Their best results are third at the 2022 and 2019 European Championships and sixth at the 2021 World Championships. They are four-time National champions (2019-22) and eight-time National silver medalists (2011-18).
PARTNERS OFF THE ICE
They are partners off the ice and spend 24 hours a day together but can use that to help motivate each other when the other is demotivated.
"I know it's hard to believe it, but we almost never fight, we never have discussions, just sometimes on the ice, not outside the ice. It is a different situation on the ice and off the ice. We're always together supporting each other even in hard times. The important thing is not to bring the problems that you may have on the ice home. It is important to split the two lives." (Fabbri, Pirouette Magazine, May 2021)
"When we are at home we try to forget figure skating and just focus on our private life. When we are at home, we do other things and when we are on the ice, we just work." (Guignard, Pirouette Magazine, May 2021)
COVID-19
For them, the hardest part about the 2020/21 season was the uncertainty. "We never knew - are we going to compete or are we not going to compete? (...) That has been very challenging because keeping the motivation every day at practice was really tough. Especially since you are not sure about the goals." (Fabbri, Pirouette Magazine, May 2021)
