They trained in Montreal, Quebec with four-time world champions Papadakis/Cizeron (FRA) and other international top teams, but returned to China due to the pandemic in 2020 and have been coached mostly online since.

General Interest

OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES
Finished 12th at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.

MOVING TO CANADA
The team relocated to Montreal, QC for training in 2018 until 2020, when they returned to China because of the Covid-19 pandemic. "Compared to before I think I've matured. We went to Montreal, Canada to train during the past two seasons, I feel I've known what I want, what we lack and how to improve better through training with foreign coaches and living there." (Liu, CFSA weibo, 4 Feb 2021).

LONG CAREER
They have been competing together since 2013 and have achieved the best result of a Chinese ice dance couple at an ISU Championship by placing fourth at the 2020 Four Continents Championships. They won the Grand Prix Cup of China 2020, but there were only athletes from China competing due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

They have competed at world championships since 2015 (best result of 13th in 2021) and the Four Continents Championships and Grand Prix of Figure Skating since 2014.
