General Interest

FROM THE USA TO SWITZERLAND
Was born and raised in the United States of America (USA) to a Swiss father and a Dutch mother. Represented the USA internationally at the junior level in 2016 before deciding to start her senior-level career for Switzerland. In 2020, she changed coaches and moved from the USA to Switzerland, first to Champery, and then in 2021 to Zurich. (isuresults.com)

OLYMPIC QUALIFYING
Missed the direct qualification for the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games when she finished 25th at the 2021 World Championships in Stockholm, Sweden. She earned the quota spot for Switzerland by finishing fourth at the qualifying event Nebelhorn Trophy 2021.

COVID-19
Used the time in quarantine in 2020 to realize what she really wants. “Through quarantine, I had lots of time to just process everything I did the past couple of years and then make a clear plan of what I want to do. I’m actually happy because I never spent so much time off the ice." (goldenskate.com, 10 Aug 2020)

OLYMPIC TALISMAN
"A few years ago a very well respected woman gave me a necklace with the Olympic rings and she told me: 'Everyone who wears this necklace skates well.' At first, I didn’t believe in it until I took it off and then skated really poorly. Then I put it on again and things started to work again, so now I always wear it when I skate." (Athlete, 4 Dec 2021)

FORMER COACH
Was coached by 2018 Olympic silver medallist Stephane Lambiel in the 2020/21 season.
