OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES
Competed at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games (29th) and at PyeongChang 2018 (20th). "2014 was a disaster for me and I put a lot of stress and pressure on myself for those four years. Finishing a clean short at 2018 kind of got rid of that feeling of shame and disappointment." (Athlete, 4 Dec 2021)

SKATING FAMILY
His mother Monica McDonald and her partner, Rodney Clarke, became the first Australian ice dancers to compete at the Olympic Winter Games in 1988. He was coached by his mother until the end of the 2011/12 season.

His younger sister Chantelle competed in single skating until 2016 and placed 22nd in the preliminary round at the 2012 World Championships. She then switched to ice dance with Andrew Dodds (AUS) and they competed at World Championships twice, finishing 30th in 2018 and 26th in 2019.
