General Interest

TEAMING UP WITH MAGYAR
When her partnership with Mikhail Akulov ended in 2018, she considered retiring from skating but agreed to a try-out when Magyar contacted her. "I thought I would quit because I didn't see anyone with whom I could skate for Switzerland. (...) So I didn't skate for a few weeks and then I realized I really missed it." (absoluteskating.com, 22 Jun 2020)

FROM SWITZERLAND TO HUNGARY
She teamed up with Maygar in 2019 and they decided to represent his home country Hungary, because obtaining Swiss citizenship is very complicated. She received Hungarian citizenship in October 2020. (Pirouette Magazine, Sep 2019; Instagram, 21 Oct 2020)

FROM RUSSIA TO SWITZERLAND
She moved from her native Russia to Switzerland as a four-year-old with her family when her father started working in Switzerland. (Pirouette Magazine, Apr 2016).

SWITCHING TO PAIRS
She decided to switch to pair skating in March 2015 when Noah Scherer asked her. "He had asked before, but I did not want to at first. Then my last Swiss championships (in singles) did not go well, I was only ninth. His (Scherer's) coach really wanted me to try pairs. I tried it and I liked it right away." (Pirouette Magazine, Apr 2016)

FORMER PARTNERS
Noah Scherer 2015-17 and Mikhail Akulov 2017-18, representing Switzerland.
With Scherer, she competed at two world championships (18th in 2016, 28th in 2017).
When Scherer retired, she continued with Russian Akulov, finishing 23rd at the 2018 World Championships.

ACCOMPLISHED COACH
Coach Fedor Klimov (RUS) is the 2014 Olympic silver medallist in pair skating (with partner Ksenia Stolbova).
