General Interest

COACHED BY DAD
He has been coached by his father from the start of his figure skating career. "I am not treated special. I feel I am very equal to all his students. He is not too strict, but when there is a tough moment, or when he gets upset, then he gets a little scary. My father has a lot of experience and he passes it on to me. He talks to me about how he felt when he competed. There are only good things — I have never felt any pressure.” (ifsmagazine.com, 1 Jun 2020)

COVID-19 MOTIVATION
He felt even more motivated after the COVID-19 lockdown. "With the restrictions, when we couldn’t be on the ice, I really couldn’t skate and said to myself, 'Wow, if I don't skate, I can’t do anything.' And being back on the ice after the restrictions were lifted, I really loved skating, and I realised how important skating was to me." (isu.org, 25 Mar 2021)

FAVOURITES
He likes cartoon character Snoopy and his favourite colours are black, white and blue. (Athlete, Jan 2022)
