PYEONGCHANG 2018 OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES
Was not in perfect condition at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games when he caught the flu right before the start, and suffered from fatigue as a result, leaving his worried mother to say, “I raised him as a strong boy. MOVING TO CANADA
In 2014, his mother went with him when he moved to Canada to be coached by Calgary 1988 Olympic Winter Games silver medallist Brian Orser at the Toronto Cricket Club in Toronto, Ontario. He homeschooled while in Toronto and returned to in-school classes when he was in Korea. He graduated in 2020 from high school. COVID-19

Was a child actor and appeared in movies and commercials. Performed as a singer in the South Korean show "King of Masked Singer". Remembered as the "Choco Pie boy" because he modeled for the chocolate snack Choco Pie and several other TV commercials as a child. Ranked fifth at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.

First South Korean male skater to win an ISU Championship when claiming gold at the 2022 Four Continents Championship.

Competed at the Lillehammer 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games.

Made his senior Olympic Winter Games debut on home soil at PyeongChang 2018 at age 16, the youngest skater in the competition. His finish of 15th in the single skate (with an overall 248.59 points), was the highest-ranking by a South Korean male skater at an Olympic Winter Games.
