General Interest

FAMILY AFFAIR
She is coached by her older sisters Maria and Malin. "I was really fortunate to have my sisters as coaches and train with them during the pandemic, because we are really good friends as well." (isu.org)

MOVIES ON ICE
She feels that studying acting and screenwriting helps her performing on the ice. "When I go out on the ice, I don't only focus on the jumps and the elements. I also focus on trying to provoke feelings in the people who are watching. Since I study acting and screenwriting, I think I have become more focused on it and also better at it." (isu.org)

OLYMPIC QUALIFYING
Qualified for an Olympic quota spot by placing 15th in her World Championships debut in 2021, but the Swedish NOC initially required her to achieve a minimum score equivalent of eighth place (198.77). Her personal best score is 178.11. Nevertheless, she was selected for the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games in January. "I am so happy to be able to go to the Olympics. I started crying with relief and joy when I received the news earlier today. Now I'm looking forward to showing what I can do. I have a lot more to give, and it's incredibly nice to be part of something as positive and fun as the Olympics, and it's great to represent Sweden." (skatesweden.se, Jan 2022)

LATE BLOOMER
She debuted at the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2021 at age 25.

TAKING A BREAK
Was in her last year of high school when she took a one and half years off from figure skating in 2015 and 2016, as she suffered from injuries. "I actually feel because I took that time off, I'm still skating. If I hadn't stopped and reflected about what else I can do in life, I would have just continued in the same routine. Now I feel that I can still do this, because I have a more positive mindset and it's not life and death, if I fail at a jump. I take it a little bit more with ease and because of that, I can enjoy it so much more. And that's why I'm still doing it, because I enjoy it and I have fun with it." (isu.org)
