Sister Lisa (Baton twirling): Competed at the national level.

:

Baton twirling (singles, pairs): French Champion in 2016 (singles), but gave up the sport that year to focus fully on skating. “It helped me on the ice to find a move like nobody else had and to make a difference with other skaters because if everyone does an element, the choreography will be all the same. I try to make a difference and that’s why I do a lot of stuff outside of skating.” (Federation Francaise Sportive de Twirling Baton YouTube Channel, 02 Jun 2016; IFS Magazine, 1 Jul 2019; europeonice.com, 12 May 2019)

2003 in Grenoble, his hometown. "Grenoble is in my heart, this is where everything happens. It is perhaps here that I will live later. I am thinking of going back." (IFS Magazine, 30 Jul 2020)

:

He went to watch ice hockey games with his parents as a child and told them he wanted to try the sport. In fact, he wanted to try figure skating. "My parents put me on hockey skates, but I was not really interested. Then one day, I told them that I wanted to do ‘hockey for girls.’" (IFS Magazine, 1 Jul 2019)

:

He is focusing on the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games with the goal of finishing in the top-five. "I'm training for that. It would be the halo on my little skating career." (IFS Magazine, 30 Jul 2020)

“My dream is not to be the champion and have gold medals. The gold medal is the bonus. My dream is to go on the ice and skate and when I say goodbye I can say I am proud of myself and I was happy to skate and feel at one with the audience and the judges.” (Europe on Ice, 12 May 2019).

Winning his first Grand Prix medal on home ice (bronze) in Grenoble in 2019.

General Interest

COACHING CHANGE
He relocated to Florida (USA) to train with Silvia Fontana (ITA) and John Zimmerman (USA) in 2018. He joined them to get choreography first, but liked it so much he moved to Florida. (Europe on Ice, 12 May 2019)

CHOREOGRAPHER
Takes part in choreographing his programmes and has choreographed most of his short programme for the 2020/21 season himself. "I needed two months to really get into it to find ideas, because I think I am too strict with myself. When my coaches do the programs, they give me plenty of ideas and I include them into the program but doing it myself, I just wanted to do the very best program.” (isu.org)

THE OLYMPIC DREAM
The first figure skating competitions he watched were the Olympic Winter Games, especially Vancouver 2010. "It is not something that everyone can experience. It's a reward, even if when you go to the Games, you must first perform for your country and for yourself before talking about a reward." (IFS Magazine, 30 Jul 2020)

SHOCK AT EUROPEANS
He entered the European Figure Skating Championships 2020 as a medal contender, but did not qualify for the final free skating following several errors and a 26th place in the short programme.

COVID-19
He was unable to return to his training base in the USA due to the pandemic since spring 2020. He worked online with his coaches in the USA and trained with his former long-time coach in France. “It (the situation) has taught me a lot of things. I hate to be by myself and alone with my thoughts, but I was forced to do that for two months and I had nothing to do. Thanks to that I have learned a bit more about myself." He was able to return to Florida in fall 2021. (isu.org)

BEING HOMESCHOOLED
When he won the French junior title at age 16, he was struggling with the schedules of skating and going to regular school, always running back and forth between them multiple times per day. Then he started being homeschooled, which presented other struggles. "I was really bored because I only had skating in my life and when skating was bad, everything was bad. Home school was bad because I had no friends and no one to go out with." (IFS Magazine, 1 Jul 2019)
