Her parents. "My life has been shaped by my journey through figure skating, and my parents were the first people to support this path. When I begged them to try figure skating at five years old, they couldn’t have predicted that it would become a 25+ year career. I believe that it is their guidance, and the lessons they have taught me throughout my life that has allowed me to reach success and enjoy every step." (Athlete, 7 Jun 2021)
She is a sensitive person, so she changes her routine based on how she feels. "I will often find a meditation or mantra that I feel I need that day, and carry that intention with me through the competition. For the past six years, Zach and I have taken Arnica before every performance. Before competing, Zach and I have a private mantra we say to each other." (Athlete, 7 Jun 2021)
"I don’t view sport any different than life. I see myself as a caring, passionate, and determined person. These qualities help me to put my best foot forward, work hard every day, and enjoy the journey with the people I love. This balanced approach allows me to set high goals, without feeling like I have lost something if I don’t reach them." (Athlete, 7 Jun 2021)
