Took up skating to express herself as a shy child. "...I found it as a way to express myself and come out of my little shell. I also just loved being on the ice and zooming around the rink as fast as my little legs could carry me." (Athlete, 20 Jan 2022)

Winning silver at the 2022 National Championships and making the Olympic team for the second time. "Perhaps because it’s the most recent, but I think it's mostly because these last four years has been incredibly tough for me in so many ways. I felt like I was being tested over and over again to see if I can endure these challenges, so when I delivered my programs at nationals and claimed my spot on the Olympic Team, I couldn’t help but feel so many emotions all jumbled up." (Athlete, 20 Jan 2022)
Figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi (USA), 1992 Olympic champion, two-time World champion.
"I’ve looked up to her as a little girl and still to this day. We actually share the same hometown, so I remember bumping into her at my local ice rink and being too starstruck and shy to ask her to sign my skate. She has been a huge inspiration for me, not just because of her incredible skating achievements, but how kind and generous she is." (Athlete, 20 Jan 2022)
Her mother. "We have always had such a close relationship ever since I was little. It may have not always been the prettiest because our personalities are quite similar, but it has influenced me in countless of ways. I truly would not be who I am without my mom." (Athlete, 20 Jan 2022)
Always has to put on her left skate first, then her right. Then she walks and jumps around before tightening the right skate to make sure it is extra tight. Always wears a jade necklace from her grandparents.
