His training-mates. "I have had the privilege of training with some of the best figure skaters in the world, but what I admire most is seeing the hard work, perseverance, and dedication they put into being the best athletes they can be. They are extremely inspiring and certainly push me to be better. Watching the end result at competitions is incredible, but it’s the every day training they put into achieving their goals that amazes and motivates me even more." (Athlete, 12 Jun 2021)

Preparation is key.
"When I was little, I was terrified of competing and my coach had me repeat the mantra, “preparation beats fear” over and over again. It has really stuck with me to this day. I truly give it my all in the preparation leading up to events so that I can rely on my training to serve as a confidence booster. While sport is sport and anything could happen, there is something calming about trusting the preparation." (Athlete, 12 Jun 2021)
