Father David Smith (Curling): Finished eighth at the Calgary 1988 Olympic Winter Games, as a demonstration sport. Seven-time World Championship medallist, winning gold in 1991. Two-time European champion (1982, 1988), only failing to win a medal once in seven appearances.

Brother Kyle Smith (Curling): Skipped Britain to a fifth at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games, alongside Cameron. Skipped Scotland to three consecutive World Junior Championship medals (2012-14). European Championship silver medallist in 2017.

Brother Cameron Smith (Curling): Finished fifth at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games, alongside his brother Kyle. Back-to-back World Junior Championship medallist. European Championship silver medallist in 2017.

Uncle Peter Smith (Curling): Vancouver 2010 British Olympian, finishing fifth. Nine World Championship medals in 11 appearances including three gold. Added seven European Championship medals, with three gold.
