“We moved to Scotland when I was around eight and the town had a curling rink, so my dad asked if I wanted to try a sport he did when he was younger. I was interested to try it, so my cousin and I went along to a Forfar young curlers session on a Saturday morning. I really enjoyed it.” (Athlete, 7 Jan 2022)

Training:

Trains on-ice at the National Training Centre in Stirling twice a day, five days per week, with physical preparation training three to five times per week. Each session ranges from one to two hours in length.

EMPHATIC DEBUT
Won gold at her senior international debut at the 2021 European Championships in Lillehammer, with a 10-1 record, defeating Sweden's Team Hasselborg in the final.

“This is a great sport for any level of ability. It is not unusual to see world-class players competing alongside beginners in local club games during the week, which makes curling pretty unique.
