General Interest

TRANSITION
Joined Team Edin in 2009, throwing second stones for five years. After winning bronze at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, Lindberg and Sebastian Kraupp left the team seeking new opportunities. When Niklas Edin reformed the team, he asked Lindberg to rejoin the team as coach.

“I love to compete but it felt like the right time in life to start doing something else. I wanted to study, but at the same time I wanted to keep a foot in curling and share the knowledge and experiences I have accumulated over the years.” (thegrandslamofcurling.com, 6 May 2014; sok.se, 29 Oct 2015)

COACHING STYLE
“Many times the team plays competition and I study and manage my coaching from home. We work that way sometimes and then we handle communication via the internet and they write weekly reports. Once we meet, we sit down and talk and evaluate how the weeks have been. How did it go? What do I need help with right now? What seems to work? How we want to focus in the near future. Then we start from those reconciliations when we prioritize what needs to be trained.” (sok.se, 6 Oct 2016)

PARTNER
Fiance Alison Kreviazuk represented Canada at two World Championships, winning bronze in 2013 and silver in 2014. Received the 2014 Frances Brodie Award, which is presented to the curler who best displayed skill, honesty, fair play, friendship and sportsmanship during the World Women's Curling Championships.

Retired in 2014, moved to Sweden and started working as a Swedish national team coach in 2016. Led the Universiade (2017), mixed doubles (2018-19), and wheelchair (2018- ) teams to three medals, including bronze at the 2020 World Wheelchair Championship in Wetzikon. (results.worldcurling.org)
