Parents got him on skis when he was a youngster and he soon joined his local Jackrabbit program in Parry Sound. The exciting part was seeing the improvement year-to-year. (nordiqcanada.ca; Athlete, Jun 2021)

While juggling hockey and skiing through childhood, hockey was always the priority. It wasn’t until Grade 12 that he decided to pursue skiing and put all of his focus into racing. Unlike most other skiers, he never followed the World Cup or knew anything about the elite level of skiing for the first few years when he started racing. He really didn’t base his inspirations off of that, but just knew that he loved the sport. (nordiqcanada.ca)

Milestones

Made his senior World Championships debut in 2021 in Oberstdorf finishing seventh in the team sprint with Antoine Cyr (34th in the individual sprint).

At the 2018 Junior World Championships in Goms, he had two top-12 finishes.

Competed at three U23 World Championships (2019-21) where his individual best was 13th in the 15km classic in 2020 and was a member of the relay team that finished ninth in 2021.

Recorded his World Cup individual best finish of 17th in 2021 (Ulricehamn). Earned his first-ever trip into the head-to-head heats with the fastest 30 athletes after clocking the ninth-fastest qualifying time on the 1.5km course.

With the relay team, he finished ninth in Lahti World Cup in January 2021. “I’m definitely proud of that qualifier. Not only was it a personal best but it was great to have that Canadian flag in the top-10 on the results sheet.” (radioworkzparrysound.com, 7 Feb 2021)
