Initially participated in football before switching to cross-country skiing because of the family influence. "Even as a little boy, I was enthusiastic about sports. General Interest

FAMILY AND PRIORITIES
His daughter Leonora was born in 2019, one month earlier than planned. He had to cancel his World Cup start for the 2019/20 season in Kuusamo, Finland to assist with the birth. Apart from the overwhelming experience of the birth of a child, the bright side was that he had time to prepare for the World Cup race at Davos in December. With the birth of his daughter, his priorities have changed, as he wants to reconcile family and professional life. (bote.ch, 20 Dec 2019)

FRIENDSHIP
For more than 10 years he has been training closely on the Swiss-Ski team with his teammate and friend Jovian Hediger. One of their common projects is the Instagram profile "@xcbullets". In 2017, they decided together with some other Swiss cross-country skiers (Roman Schaad, Erwan Kaeser, Ueli Schnider, Gianluca Cologna) to extravagantly display the image of cross-country skiing and brought to life via Instagram with posts and content of the Swiss-Ski cross country sprint team.
