Father Larry Poromaa (Cross-country skiing): Placed fifth in the legendary Holmenkollen 50km race in 1986. He has served as the head of ski service for both the Swedish and USA ski teams and also worked for the Estonian national team since retiring from active competition.
Mother Anette Fanqvist (Cross-country skiing): Won bronze at the 1995 World Championships in Thunder Bay in the relay, and participated in the Nagano 1998 Olympic Winter Games finishing eighth in the relay.
Partner Frida Karlsson (Cross-country skiing): Six-time World Championships medallist (one gold, three silver, two bronze) and six-time Junior World Championships medallist (three gold, three bronze). She is the daughter of 1992 Olympic cross-country skier Ann-Marie Karlsson (SWE).
