LATE BLOOMER
Unlike many cross-country skiers who progress through the junior championships to the World Cup in their late teens, he is a late bloomer who had his debut in the World Cup at age 25. He struggled in the years of transition to the senior category and chose to finish his studies (and even worked for a while) before his skiing career properly took off. Hailing from a small village 20km north of Kalix, grew up on a dairy farm with some 40 cows where he became used to working outside and in the woods daily and is no stranger to milking a cow or driving a tractor. (kuriren.nu, Jan 2018)

Milestones

Debuted at the 2021 World Championships in Oberstdorf, where he recorded a finish of 19th in the sprint, as his best individual result. Skied the first leg of the 4x10km relay team that finished fourth, four seconds from the podium.

Has collected one individual World Cup podium, finishing third in the sprint free in January 2020 (Dresden), as well as two team sprint podiums, with second in Dresden (January 2020) and third in Ulricehamn (February 2021).
