General Interest

TRAINING PARTNERSHIP
From June 2021, training together with rising star William Poromaa who moved to Asarna to be close to Burman to optimise training in the lead-up to Beijing 2022.

NEW GENERATION
His podium finish in the season-ending World Cup competition was the first in a distance race since Calle Halfvarsson in November 2018. Consequently, he along with Oskar Svensson, who also scored his first World Cup podiums in the 2020/21 season, and William Poromaa, are the new generation of the rising Swedish men's team.

Milestones

Debuted at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games, where his best individual result was 17th in the skiathlon. As the youngest member on the 4x10km relay team where he skied the first leg, they finished fifth.

Set his best career finish at the 2021 World Championships in Oberstdorf with a fifth in the 50km mass start, and also broke into the top-10 with an eighth in the 15km individual start race. In the relay, finished fourth.

Won silver at the 2014 Junior World Championships at Val di Fiemme in the 10km classic race. At the U23 World Championships at Rasnov, he became world champion in the 15km classic race.

Scored his inaugural podium at the season-ending World Cup in Engadin in March 2021. In addition, has several top-10 finishes.
