2019 World Cup in Dresden (Sprint - 35th)
November 2019: Suffered a skull fracture, bleeding and bruising of the brain, a tibia fracture, and completely torn left medial collateral and posterior collateral ligaments (that required surgery in Vail, CO) when she was hit by a car while crossing the street in Anchorage. Went to the U.S. Ski & Snowboard’s Center of Excellence in Park City, Utah in January 2020 to rehabilitate, where she was able to focus 100% of her attention on recovery and specifically building core and leg strength. Was introduced to cross-country skiing as a family lifestyle when she was two years old growing up in Truckee, CA. She started racing at 11. (my.usskiandsnowboard.org)
Did many sports as a youngster, from football (soccer), tennis, and gymnastics to rock climbing, mountain biking, alpine ski racing, triathlon, cross-country running, and cross-country skiing.
