WORST SEASON OF HIS CAREER
The winter of 2019/20 was the worst season of his career, with the highlight a fifth place in the 15km free in Davos. He had been sick in bed the entire month of January 2020, and decided to put an end to his World Cup season at the end of February, after a Scandinavian Ski Tour where he finished at the back of the top-30. PROFESSION
As a child, he dreamed of all kinds of professions, like helicopter pilot, but never thought of a career as an athlete. He was always very into science and history and studied biology at university for eight years. (eurosport.fr)

HIGHLIGHTS
Has been one of the best skaters worldwide. Has several Olympic Winter Games and World Championships medals, and one of the most complete palmares in cross-country skiing history.

Had his best World Cup season in 2016 with six individual podiums. Has 10 World Cup victories and 34 podiums in total (end of 2020/21).

OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES
Three-time Olympic bronze medallist winning two in the 4x10km relay (2014, 2018) and one in the team sprint (2018). In his 10 Olympic starts (six individual, four team) in four Olympic Winter Games (2010-2018), except for two results, he has always finished in the top eight: 3rd (3x), 4th (1x), 5th (2x), 6th (1x), 8th (1x).

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Four-time World medallist, three of which are bronze in the 4x10km relay (2015, 2019, 2021), and one individual silver in the 15km F (2015). Made his debut in 2009 and has competed at every edition since, with 24 career starts (17 individual, seven team).

Two-time U23 World Championships medallist, winning gold in the 15km F (2009) and bronze in the 30km FMass Start (2008).
