Milestones

OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES
Made his Olympic Winter Games debut at PyeongChang 2018, where his best result was 26th in the 15km free.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
First World Championships appearance was in 2017 in Lahti. Had his personal best at Oberstdorf 2021, where he finished 15th in the 15km free.

Competed at three Junior World Championships from 2014-16 with the eighth in skiathlon at Almaty 2015 as his best result.

Had a successful series of three appearances at the U23 World Championships from 2017-19, with a pair of fourths in skiathlon in 2017 (Soldier Hollow) and in the 15km in 2018 (Goms), and one fifth in skiathlon in 2018 (Goms).

WORLD CUP
Is best-known as a great uphill skier with two World Cup top-10 results in the Final Climb of the Tour de Ski. Initially stronger in the free technique but set his personal best in the classic technique during the 2020/21 Tour de Ski finishing ninth in the 15km classic mass start competition at Val Mustair.
