NOT JUST FOR THREE MINUTES
Considered to be a sprint specialist but personally believes that he is not training 900 hours a year to ski fast for three minutes, so also wants to succeed in distance races. (aftenposten.no, Nov 2021)

Milestones

Made his World Championships debut at Oberstdorf 2021 where won individual silver in the sprint and team gold in the team sprint with Johannes Hosflot Klaebo.

Recorded first individual World Cup victory in the sprint at Ruka, Finland in November 2020. In addition, has another six podium finishes and two team sprint World Cup wins from 2019 as well as a relay win at Lillehammer in December 2021. His first podium came in Dresden in 2019 when he finished third.

Finished second in the overall World Cup sprint rankings in the 2019/20 season.

Double world champion in the sprint in the U23 category, winning gold both at Goms 2018 and Lahti 2019.
