Milestones

A veteran all-round skier who was set back by illnesses but has returned to the elite in the last two seasons.

OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES
Debuted at Sochi 2014 with a start in the 15km finishing 18th. At PyeongChang 2018, finished fourth in the sprint final.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Two World Championships appearances. Debuted at Val di Fiemme 2013, where he finished fifth in the sprint and a disappointing 11th in the team sprint with Petter Northug. Was back on the team at Oberstdorf 2021, where he won relay gold and finished eighth both in the sprint and the 50km.

Three-time Junior World Championships medallist winning two gold (10km, 4x5km relay) and one silver (sprint final).

WORLD CUP
Scored his first World Cup points in the city sprint in Dusseldorf in the autumn of 2010. Made his first World Cup podium in third in the sprint at Lahti in March 2011, and scored his first victory in the 15km at Lillehammer in December 2013.

Won the inaugural FIS Ski Tour in Norway and Sweden in March 2020, and finished sixth in the Tour de Ski.

In his best overall season, he finished third in the World Cup overall standing in 2020, and also took third in the sprint World Cup that year.
