Milestones

Competed at his first World Championships at Oberstdorf 2021 where he won a bronze medal in the classic sprint.

Made his World Cup debut at age 19 in Davos in 2013, immediately scoring World Cup points with a 21st place finish. Almost made the top 10 in his second World Cup appearance in Lahti in March 2014 where he finished 11th in the sprint and then broke the top 10 in his third World Cup sprint in December 2014. After a few difficult years where he lost his place on the national team and was forced to work himself back up through a regional team, he finally made it on a World Cup podium in Davos in December 2019 and then scored his first victory at Dresden in December 2021.

Finished eighth in the sprint World Cup overall rankings in the 2019/20 season.

Won two relay medals at the Junior World Championships at Erzurum 2012 and Liberec 2019 and recorded a personal best of a ninth-place finish in the 10km race in 2013. At the U23 championships at Rasnov 2016, finished 17th in the free technique sprint.
