February 2014: Suffered a mild concussion in a crash in the second run of the four-man at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games. Sorensen was not medically cleared to complete the final two runs.

Was out of shape in December 2020 and needed some motivation, but he found working from home was just what he needed. “I almost hate to say it out loud, but COVID, in some way, has actually been somewhat conducive to training.
