Tried out for skeleton and then bobsleigh in 2014. "When I switched from athletics, it was very difficult for me. Usually, former sprinters come to bobsleigh. They know how to start quickly, but I am a 'middle' - hardy, but not explosive. The coach had to work with me a lot and for a long time to make me a good bobsledder. One and a half to two years I had to make up for physics."

Has been a pilot since 2018. (redbull.com, 23 June 2021; rostrus-bob.com; ganc-chas.by, 4 May 2021)

"I really love speed and technique, and in bobsleigh there are both. There is a place to apply strength, to show movement. At the same time, there is an opportunity to tinker with the sled, tune it, think about how to add speed." (redbull.com, 23 June 2021)

It is important for me to preserve honour and moral qualities. I still try to preserve my face and human dignity." (ganc-chas.by, 4 May 2021)
