2018 World Cup in Sigulda (Two-man - 17th, Two-man - 16th)

Prior to 2020/21 season: Cartilage damage in his knees from training. Uses shockwave therapy and blood injections locally, as well as a dedicated stretching regimen, to prevent further irritation and damage.

2016

:

Took up bobsleigh in 2016 when two-time world champion Ivo Rueegg invited him to a training camp. Started his training to become a pilot immediately. (nzz.ch, 19 Feb 2020)

The team carries a good luck nut when racing. "We went to a shop in Koenigssee [in 2018/19]. [Pusher] Sandro [Michel] put a walnut on the scales for fun. It didn't show any weight, so the saleswoman gave it to us. From then on she was our lucky nut." After their surprising fifth-place finish at the World Championships that season, they ate their lucky walnut, but a new, inedible nut made of metal was gifted to the team by the Lake Zurich Bobsleigh Club.
