Father Ruud Sleper (Athletics): Former marathoner and has competed in domestic master's-level throwing events.
Mother Cobi Koermeling (Athletics): Competed in the 400m and hurdles, medalling at the Dutch National Championships in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Represented the Netherlands in the 4x400m relay at the 1978 European Athletics Championships.
Athletics: Competed in the sport since age seven. Specialised in javelin and discus, but had to give up throwing due to a shoulder injury.

2018 Monobob Event in Lillehammer (Monobob - 3rd)
2016: Foot injury caused her to give up the two-woman bobsleigh.

Snowboarder Bibian Mentel (NED), a six-time Dutch champion in halfpipe and snowboard cross before losing a leg to cancer in 2001. Won a seventh Dutch championship - in the able-bodied division - seven months later, and went on to win three Paralympic gold medals and five world championships in snowboard cross and banked slalom.
