Rugby: Started playing after misbehaving at school, which led to representing the South of England at university.
Athletics: Competed in the decathlon - at one point setting a national record - and ranked in the top-five in discus as a junior. Gave up the sport due to injuries.
Skeleton: Came to the sport through a UK Sport talent identification programme, but in his brief career he found himself spending more time on the ice than on his sled.
2015 World Cup in La Plagne (Two-man - 18th)
February 2021: Strained his groin, which, coupled with injuries throughout his crew, caused him to pull out of the four-man event at the World Championships.
2020/21: Ankle injury forced the team to miss the first World Cup event of the year and required extensive rehabilitation.
Summer 2019: Rib injury.
November 2016: Severed all the tendons in the back of his hand in a crash in Whistler, leading to a significant loss of upper body weight and strength. The injury required two operations and he missed two months of the season.
Took up the sport as a brakeman in 2011. Transferred to the pilot's seat for the 2014/15 season. (bobsleighbrad.co.uk)
