January 2021: Tore a hamstring in the two-man race at the World Cup in Winterberg, forcing the team to withdraw from the four-man.
March 2016: Suffered severe ice burn from a crash in training in Winterberg after he had just taken up the sport and did not know to wear a burn vest. Underwent a skin graft and missed the next six months. (thebrakeman.org)
