Weightlifting: Won a number of titles in middle and high school, including the 2007 National Weightlifting Championships in the 85kg division. Set a competition record in his victory at the Gwangju National Sports Festival the same year.
2012 World Cup in Whistler (Two-man - DNF)
January 2013: Required a skin graft from his thigh after suffering ice burn on his shoulder in a crash at the World Championships. Fell out of the back of the overturned sled and slid 800 metres down the ice on his affected shoulder.
