Winning the gold medal at the Innsbruck 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games with brakeman Alessandro Grande. “It was a special event that I remember everything about. It was my first big international race and it went well. Unforgettable emotions." (puschtra.it, 5 Feb 2021; oasport.it, 9 Dec 2020)

:

"Before starting, I go through the track and its peculiarities in my head and memorize where I have to make which steering movement. Only if I have a problem at a certain point do I visit the track in advance on foot so that I can better memorize the line. Right before the start, I slap my teammates again and then give the starting signal." (puschtra.it, 5 Feb 2021)

Milestones

With brakeman Alessandro Grande, he won the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games two-boy bobsleigh, after striking from behind to win gold by 0.09 seconds. Italy was considered out of the running for the title after placing fourth in the first heat, but the pair posted the fastest run of the competition in the final heat to win the gold medal.

Made his World Championships debut in 2017. In 2019, he produced his first and only top-10 finish of sixth in the team event.

Has competed at eight Junior World Championships since (2012-2020) with five top-10 finishes, and his best results a pair of sevenths in four-man (2014, 2020)

His top World Cup result, seventh in November 2020 (Sigulda), took place in a race with only 13 sleds competing and without athletes from North America, Russia, and Asia due to COVID-19.
