Introduced to the sport in 2016 by his former athletics teammate and German bobsledder Pablo Nolte. Weber, who impressed national team head coach Rene Spies in his debut training run, would go on to push in Nolte's sled, winning a silver medal with him in the two-man at the 2017 Junior World Championships.
