Athletics: Competed as a sprinter for TV Eckersmuhlen. Won the 100m at the South German U23 Championships with a time of 10.68 in the 100m in 2013.
2018 World Cup in Sigulda (Two-man - 3rd)
Summer 2020: Tore his labrum in a fall from his bike. Underwent surgery to stabilise the joint with eight anchors. Doctors thought he would be away from training for six months, but he was back after 18 weeks - but still missed the entire 2020/21 season.
January 2020: Tore the flexor tendons in his ring and pinky fingers in a fall. He was able to complete the final World Cup races on the calendar, but had surgery on his hand just before the start of the World Championships.
2016
He was approached to try bobsleigh on a push track in 2013, but Schneider, in the prime of his athletics career, was not yet ready to take on a new sport. In 2016, after some injuries in athletics, he climbed into a bobsleigh for the first time. After his first descent, he was hooked. "I would have paid money so that I could ride again."
