Injuries:

November 2020: Contracted COVID-19 before the first World Cup in Sigulda, but was asymptomatic. Missed two World Cup races due to quarantine protocol.

Late 2020: Tore a ligament in his ankle and then broke a bone in his foot, which caused him to miss an additional World Cup race and kept him out of the top 10 in the races he did compete in.

2019/20: Pubic bone edema that caused him hip pain until early in the start of the following season.

Milestones

Made his Olympic Winter Games debut at PyeongChang 2018.

In five World Championship appearances (2016-21), he has two top-10 results (fifth in team in 2019, 10th in four-man in 2020).

Two-time 2019 Junior World Championships silver medallist (two-man, four-man). Was fourth in 2016 (four-man).

Broke into the World Cup top-10 on back-to-back days, on back-to-back weekends in 2018 when he was 10th in four races in a row (twice in two-man in Sigulda, twice in four-man in Winterberg). To date, his best World Cup finishes are a trio of eighths in 2019 (Altenberg, Innsbruck).
