General Interest

YOUTH
Chu's mother about her youth: "At the time she was in the early stages of her junior high school, she suddenly stood at the crossroads of whether to be a professional athlete or continue to study. As parents, we were very reluctant and entangled. She has very good academic performance, has very good physical fitness since childhood, and likes sports very much." She then left her hometown in Inner Mongolia and joined the People's Liberation Army.

Milestones

After a couple of relay engagements, had her first individual race in the World Cup in March 2019. Collected points in three races during the 2019/20 season, finishing 80th in the total score. After missing the next season due to the pandemic, she returned to the World Cup in Oestersund in November 2021, placing 38th in the sprint. Was a member of the relay team that achieved China's first top-10 relay result (ninth) in Ruhpolding in January 2020.

Two gold and one silver medal in individual races at the 2019 Junior Summer Biathlon World Championships in Minsk.

Competed in 2019 Junior World Championships in Brezno, finishing 11th in relay.
